My uncle had a cheap crappy bike in the early eighties before he had his Ultra Burner and TRM.
Ive been at my mums this morning and i have managed to find a small pic of the rear wheel, drop out and pedal of this bike. These bikes came in two colours, red and blue with the same crap mags on them. We lived in South London/Surrey at the time and the local bike shops sold them.
Anyone remember the name of the bike as it is doing our head in!
Excuse the small pic to go on. ;)

i,m sure them wheels are the ones that where on mudcruchers back in the day but thought they where black and yellow
there used to be a magazine from all the mace shops and they used to get them from there
whoah blast from the past can anyone remember the mace shops :)

My first BMX had a blue frame and 12 spoke red plastic mag wheels on it, it was just called a WMX and didn't actually have a proper name or make.
The wheels on that pic look very similar (except white instead of red).
It was bought in around 80/81.

I think that BH is much too high spec for the price he would have paid and for how he described it.
Im a Kingston boy Paul and lived in New Malden up until the age of 13, then moved back there when i was 17. My mrs is from N.Malden too.
I know Scot, Darren & Jamie from when i was at school. Scot was good mates with my best mate Dan.
We are still good mates now.

Was Norwich flyers track 1983.
My first bmx, awful thing, the cw copy bars replaced the originals that i broke, i wasnt exactly large then either.
Very heavy, flexy plastic wheels, it was that or a chopper though.

Anyone got any more pics/info on stratton bmx's. Does the company still exist? :-\
My first bmx was a stratton. Definetly a budget bike. Mine was blue and white. Blue where all tubes joined together fading into white!!
They did red and white also, and it came with spoked wheels :daumenhoch:

This is the only other pic i have of a stratton.
I dont think they are making bikes anymore.
Not seen a stratton in a long time.
