Can anyone tell me if a stamped pair of landing gear are more desirable than the unstamped landing gear or vice versa.

yep just the same
copies started popping up in the early days so se started
stamping them to make it harder to copy and it kinda worked   :daumenhoch:

As a general rule unstamped LG's are the ones to have...unless of course you are building a later SE in which case you'll need stamped. Horses for courses.
