That'd be a huge shim matey! I'd be scared of it moving around, and cracking the frame.

yeah i know :( why couldn't they just leave things as they were :tickedoff:
-
Why do you need an OS seat post?
Is it a layback?
-
no but colour choice is limited :yahoo_silent:

get a longer one made out of a new skool seat post with a lip so ya can get it out when needed

Does the old school post fit inside the new one, if it does just run a hacksaw down a couple of inches and use that as the shim. From what you describe the shim would need to be about 2.5mm thick. Hope this makes sense as I'm struggling to put into words what I am thinking. :crazy2:

thats what i was saying gary im sure an old seat post fits inside
