Title: Anyone know anything about the Hutch buy out?
Post by: emerbmx on August 13, 2008, 04:22 PM
Someone told me there was a Hutch buyout but I can't find the thread-
anyone know anything about it?
Will they re-release a whack version of everything we've tried so hard to collect, plummeting the value of all those mirror chrome beauties?

sheesh that was long read...

I had a chrome Pro Racer in 85ish and would love a new version of it with a 21" TT but OS legal. That'd be interesting - a NS 1" Threaded Headset - Caliper brake 4130 Crmo F&F. Bet that'd cause quite a stir, but to me that's a proper replica bike. These "replica" modernised bikes are cool and "up-to-date" with their internal headsets and euro BB's but the OS touch needs to be more authentic I reckon. Most of these new releases are "retro" and not "replica" in my books.

Heck, after Kuwahara's return to BMX it would be awesome to see Hutch back too - perhaps that bloke needs to talk to Dibly from UKunknown for some tips...
