Here it is dudes...  I haven't got the brake sorted yet as I don't think this Odyssey A-brake works on type of Challenger?  Any advice on that would be appreciated.

It's got all the hot stuff... T1000's, Challenger forks, redneck, slams, GT cranks......  I've also a nicer set of S&M pedals that I want to swap for these, just need to change the spindles over.

Soon to be shredded at Iford!

Very nice! The A brake should work! I'm not sure though, but it's a lovely bike!

I wouldnt be sure, those Challengers were pre vbrake. More like the traditional none vbrake canti's I reckon

Yeah that would make sense...  I got the Abrake initially for my 98 challenger, not this one...  so I'll look for regular canti.  Cheers dude.

Stevie, a Shimano V-brake should still work on canti bosses.  The red  Shimano DX V-brake and lever would look good on your Challenger and go with the red Redneck  :daumenhoch:

Very nice Stevie  :smitten:

V-brakes are just cantilever brakes with longer arms, the A brake should be fine the problem lies with your lever, its a none V brake specific one so has a shorter cable throw

I have a silver and black Shimano DX R/H/S lever I can send you if you PM me your addy, that should sort it b :daumenhoch:

 :) DINGO :)

An A brake would like real nice on that. They work well set up as a centre pull  by using a straddle hanger off a u brake.

Looking good, very nice.

I always think its a waste when a bike has a cable stop for a canti brake but someone uses V brakes on it. Get an old shimano Canti on there! (I might even have one you can have).

Oh, and I think they are pitchforks, not challenger forks ???? Always nice, and they look like quite early ones, but still pitchforks.

always loved canti's , you get loads of modulation like a U brake, much better than a V for a BMX id say.

Didnt you run some DIY setup alex? Also I think George french of Gsport, uses Canti's too.

A V brake will still work fine, but short armed ones like the A brake, may not have cable/tyre clearance with a fattie on the back.
