-
Ok Zippy will do, will sort out the ladies registration on the day, got quite a few possibles for that already. WE have six O/S riders down already. Room for only another 30 odd.
TK
-

-
Top Notch Mark.
We'll get over there one night for a quick practice before the race. :daumenhoch:
-
Twelve already :daumenhoch:. Still over a fortnight to go. Dont forget your raffle tickets. Have done some newspaper reports for Kentish Gazette in Canterbury (could be in there today) plus one for the Dover Express/Folkestone Herald, which could go in next week.
Kentish Gazette will be sending somebody over on the 14th for pictures, just like they did last year. Is anybody likely to be filming it for vids on here?
TK
-
Regarding video, will check Tony, father in law/Tracey Stewart have filmed most of the O/S A finals since i've returned, but I am sure he said they're on holiday for this one, or was it Herne Bay?...let you know this evening hopefully.
-
Could use a few more names on the list. Where's KDW712 and MeddlE when you need them?? ::) Would be good to see them back for a bit of bar-bashing for charity.
And guys, forget the cruisers and leave the podium finish open for me please. :4_17_5: Well maybe #3.
Humps
-
All in good time Humps, we've only been going four days, I could add names that have told me that they are coming just need to hear from them on here, you are right that it would be good to see some faces we hven't seen yet this year. (Buckmore Bat, Mr Rusty, kdw, meddle etc).
Will you get that third in the Cruisers for the Humphrey grand slam or will Spillers show up and ruin the party
TK
-
If I've got my Cruiser by the 14th then I'll definetely ride cruiser as well. However it all depends on Moore and Large pulling their fingers out and delivering Wolfy's new '09 cruiser. :LolLolLolLol:
-
TK sadly it looks like im going to be missing my first Hersden plate due to injujry!!
i now have two walls bangers that used to be fingers so cant see me being match fit in time..... braintree's notorious first step up has claimed two today (b4 i left) Scott Vogal who used to race out of woodam bitd knocked himself clean out on his return to bmx after 20 odd years and I got bumped and managed to squash two fingers between the ground and my handlebars... :'(
4 hours in A&E and now cant wait for the pain killers to wear off where theyve had to cut the side of my nail off! :'(
rubbin' is racin' :coolsmiley:
-
Sorry to hear that Simon, if it gets any better let us know .
TK
-
Hoping he logs in here soon but met an old timer today at the Bay by the name of Rodney Craig who was ripping it up out the gate and plans to ride OS at Hersden. Humps
-
Please add my name to the list Rodney Craig, got to get a number plate sorted. Do I need a licence to race Old School?
I'm hoping to get my brother and nephew out for the day :daumenhoch:
Nice to meet you and the East kent crew Humps.
See ya at Hersden
-
No licence needed just turn up and ride
-
Rodney Craig, Hmmm, Rod, forgive me if my memory is fading as i grow old, can't see the grey i shave it off....
you wouldn't be young Rodney who's dad gave me a ride for the MT fox Factory would you??? Or has altzeimers set in already :4_17_5:
-
Yes Mr. Magoo not so young nowadays but your memory is correct. My Dad says he's gonna race 60+ :)
looking forward to meeting up with some Buckmore Bats, Folkestone Flyers etc.... Region 11 squad
going to get my bike race ready and hit the track
-
Hi Rod, hows yer dad, Ralph weren't it. My best memory of you guys was going all the way down to Poole in that mini bus with wooden slatted seats, doing two laps and breaking my collar bone, then sleeping in the tent and Hayley moaning cos i kept her awake, cos i couldn't sleep from the pain, then Jamie Staff's dad took me to Poole A&E on the sunday, who confirmed it was broke.
Good old days....first and only time there, shame never got the chance to see if i had the bottle to jump Dolly, or if i'd end up in her clevage????
see you soon mate. Neil
-
Things are picking up now. Welcome to Rodney Craig who is having his first race at Hersden. Word on the street is that Mike Wong may give Coppull a miss and pay us another visit, and it looks like Tony796 will be there to liven things up.
Still hoping for plenty more, and there is still over ten days left to get your names down.
TK
-
OK TK, I've provisionally added myself to the list. Not 100% at the moment, but at the moment I don't fancy the 400 mile round trip to Coppull.

TK
-
If, and it's a big if, my cruiser is ready for the 14th then I'll race that as well. However it all depends on Moore and Large pulling their fingers out.
-
Hi Tony, you can put me in for the 5 & unders. It was my first ever race last time and won the A final !. A great day. Thank you.

;D ONE WEEK TO GO ;D
Just a word on the fund raising front (and to bump this thread up, come on slackers!), my daughter Katie is racing in the girls races that day and has been sponsored, and to date she has raised (with a bit of help from myself and Justin) ....
:4_17_5: £305 :4_17_5:
We will keep this going this week at work , and next Sunday any body that wants to put up a couple of quid can do so.
Thanks to all at the Carpenters Arms in Coldred, River Co-op and Royal Mail Canterbury.
Looks like we have got just over 20 riders for the posties race to keep us all amused while the serious :wtf: riders have a break.
We will let everyone know of the final figure raised during presentation.
TK
-
Thanks to Zippy for donating a very smart bike-rack as part of the raffle prizes. Not sure on the exact list up for grabs but I can tell you there will be a new bike as 1st prize and I'M sure there will be other goodies to win as well.
Just 5 days left to get your names down, and nobody has registered for a week now :knuppel2:. Are some of you keeping the powder dry to blitz the pre reg on Saturday or are we all staying at home and being :(.
For what its worth at this stage of the week, the weather forecast doesn't give it bad this weekend, so no excuses on that front.
TK
-
I'm a definate maybe - just got a few bits to do to the bike and test my knees out (haven't raced since November). Will confirm for defo before Saturday
Chris
-
It would be great to have you back in the fold if you can make it Chris. Not been the same without you. :daumenhoch:
