So the big one is a month away, who's up for the last big race of the year then. :daumenhoch:
-
I'll be there, but maybe on my mountainbike.
-
I'm hoping to make it. Track still scares me to death though!!
-
cant wait seeing had to miss this weekends 'big one'
looking forward to seeing how the 19+ etc get on without clips..... (non clip event!!)
track doesnt scare me as such i think its fantastic - just so bloody long.
-
Yes its looonnnggg!!!! But i'm still dubious of going over those first two jumps in the first straight at full speed....Length haven't really considered too much, my thoughts are i'll probably come off on the first straight...then i can cruise around at my own leisure :LolLolLolLol:
-
if i remember the regional it was just anchors on for the OS and then the race began from there... oh and Zippy fell off!
-
Yeah, was up there for the first time a few wednesday's ago, and generally that was how i took it, extremely glad i've got a good working Bulldog back brake, cos if hit at full speed E.T. springs to mind, but not with a soft landing!!!
-
Ihad an awesome gate in my first moto of the regional and had a great lead which I threw away at the second berm when I fell off heavily.
OOOOHHHHHHHH it hurt like hell as well. :LolLolLolLol:
-
Doesn't strike me as a very forgiving track.
-
Yes its looonnnggg!!!!
It's no longer than peterborough, it bang on average at 355m. My lap times at p/boro were basically same as Herne bay.
You all just need to step up ya training
-
Training??? I've just checked my dictionary, can't find the meaning of that anywhere :LolLolLolLol:
Lucky if i get time to clean my bike between races. Let alone time to train. Nice thought though.
-
I will be there to defend my title, think it will be a bit harder this
year as only 5 at Bmouth last year be good to have semis.
-
We can make this event just as good as the Brits if the weather is nice and everyone in the region turns up :daumenhoch:
-
everyone in the region turns up
Hard to believe but Matt and I will be a no-show for this one as Matt has to be at Exeter Uni that day to take up his accommodation so I'll be driving him down with the usual student paraphanalia, bike, guitar, Playstation, drugs stash, condoms, etc.. Will be looking for some kind person to take James to the meeting but that can be sorted nearer the time. Humps
PS: Mike, I'm still going to try to sort out the "other thing" we talked about at the weekend
-
I'll defo be there to defend my OS 1S title from last year and If I can get my cruiser in time I may even have ago at 30-39 :daumenhoch:
-
Details of the event are just being finalised .... should be something published by the end of the week
Ta !!
-
It's a shame Matt has to start Uni that day, Alan, as you guys helped start the club and this is the biggest event in its short history.
-
If I get my cruser in time I'll join ou Paul.
So we could be in old school and 30-39. How fooked are we goin to be. :LolLolLolLol:

James is welcome to jump in with me Alan :daumenhoch:

Count me in :daumenhoch:

Can't make it, on holiday yet again
I am toying with the idea of getting a newer cruiser for next year or tarting up the late 90s Floval I've got. Undecided. Has anyone thought any more about what to ride next year? Cruiser is tempting but if it's just me left in OS I stand a chance of winning something at least.
-
Steve you'd probably fall off and lose. :LolLolLolLol:
You should join us in 30-39 next year. :LolLolLolLol: :daumenhoch:
-
We can fit James in too Al now we have the minibus :LolLolLolLol:

Steve, as long as the late 90s Floval takes v-brakes, it should be fine to race in 30-39 next year :daumenhoch:
Do it! You'll be racing against most of the guys you've been racing in OS, and your riding has improved loads since I first saw you race last year, so you'll improve even more on a decent bike.

you should have it by then zippy :daumenhoch:

:LolLolLolLol:

So the big one is a month away, who's up for the last big race of the year then. :daumenhoch:
I will be on the gate with the rest of the 40+ cruisers.

Lee, I think 28 riders in total entered the regional summer series, so we should easily get semis at Herne Bay :daumenhoch:
-
Haven't got an old school bike anymore! So it's 30-39 cruiser for me :)
-
Got to make it, not been about past few meets :'( But will get to this
-
Alright I reckon I'll stick with OS next year but I may well need a new cruiser too for, er, commuting and stuff. Mike the Floval doesn't have lugs, it was one of the last ones made in the US by SE so has the brake mounts top and bottom. So I'll do OS at regionals and then a bit of cruisering as well, subject to domestic permissions of course. Main thing is to get some balls back first mind.

.
Steve you have more holidays than Judith Charmers
