so i've been riding bmx for 23 years. i've been schooled by the best for the last 14 years in terms of building a bmx to be proud of that people will just stop and stare at. i think i've come close a few times and put together some lovely bikes in my time in this sport. naturally funds always play a part in a build and some times you have to rely on a bit of look when it comes to locating the right parts.
last year i very nearly retired from freestyle riding due to too many back and neck injuries so set about thinking about a race bike, in my opinion there is nothing nicer than a slick looking race bike. until recently i haven't had the funds to pursue this project but now its starting to take shape nicely. very nicely in fact. i can't ever recall being as excited about a bike as this. to the point i was nearly sick when i walked out of a shop today with something i never thought would grace my bike. with a couple more choice parts i'll be ready to build it then i will have my two favourite bikes with my standard bullitt and this.
i was going to keep this whole project under wraps until finished but after todays score i can no longer contain my excitement and feel the time is right to show you some aspects of what will probably be my final 'new build' as i don't think i can beat this.

then today whilst trying to locate a 44t sprocket around shops in my area i stumbled across these. i've loved these from when i first saw them advertised in ride many many years ago. and i walked away from the shop have only spent £35

hopefully the build will be complete for the london cruise,
a few thanks so far, joe for sourcing the ring for me, james hitchcox for trying his hardest to get the frame to me in quick time, and to lazarou for guiding the way when it comes to perfect bikes

I love Black Widow Lite cranks,but sadly they tend to flex/bend a bit to much for my liking.

i do have my concerns about the cranks but they'll only get light use pootling around a track and for £35 i can't really complain

Gotta agree with JJ. But deserves better in the crank department. Looking forward to seeing the finished article.
