Wondered if any of you have had experience of stripping powder off chrome - I have these Haro bars, I'd like to remove the powder so that they are all chrome. Is this possible with out knackering the chrome underneath? If so what do I use to limit the damage.

are you sure thats not paint? try some thinners. if it is powder then gasket remover will do the job :daumenhoch:

Good point - I'd assumed it was powder, but could be paint...I'll have another look at them.

if they are in original finish i am sure it's paint.

its paint, I had the same bars that I stripped, good old nitromors is your friend here.

when i get back to work on monday i'll check out the stripper i use,
nitromors is ok but no guts to it, my gel strip is the don, it will break any paint system,
will let you all know :daumenhoch:
