Whats a good race seat to put on a cruiser
opinions needed especially zippys :LolLolLolLol:
-
Depends what style of seat you're looking for really.
I use an old school Elina Lightning Bolt seat on my bike but plan to get a Tioga Spyder when the Elina dies or I get bored of it.
If your bike has a 25.4 seat post, then the pivotal seat & post combos are pretty good. If not, then a mountain bike seat will be lighter than most BMX seats. Lot's of choices out there for one of the least important parts of the bike.

check out streetmafia on ebay, they have some nice s&m thin seats that are very reasonable posted :daumenhoch:

Whatever your getting, it's shite :LolLolLolLol:

No worries. One bit of advice is get a leather/plastic seat as they're better in the wet. Those cloth ones just soak up the rain and make your bum wet when you sit down.

I looked at the tioga spyders mike and the one that looks like a web is F-in mental :D

Yeah, that's the one I will probably get eventually. It's not to everyone's taste (and quite expensive for what it is - basically a bit of plastic with holes in it), but will look good on my bike with a Thomson seat post :daumenhoch:
-
If you ride a low seat, try these http://www.winstanleysbmx.com/product/18399/Eclat_Complex_Seat_and_Seatpost
If you have a few quid, USE carbon post with Tioga spider seat as mentioned by Mike :daumenhoch:
-
If it's light weight you want look at these. 5.5 ounces for the seat and 25.4mm post.

SDG I-beam seat and post are the business I think?
I run SDG seats (with an X-lite post on my 20") (Raceface Diabolous on my 24") but my new build will probably run SDG with Thomson Post
:) DINGO :)

Think Mike has seen these before, but looks like they will soon be avaliable, I want a clear one, if the price is right :daumenhoch:

Gary
Those Eclat Webster seats are about £20 (including the clear) at Winstanleys.

I've seen these before :daumenhoch:
did'nt know you could get a clear one,
you can also buy one that comes with a black cover,
but clear is a great idea goes with anything.
-
Yeah, those Eclat seats look good (and great price). But I think the Tioga Spyder would suit my race bike better (and it's a whopping 35g lighter :LolLolLolLol: ).
-
A whole 35g Mike? Well that is a race win on its own ;)
-
That's about the weight of a good fart. :LolLolLolLol:
-
:2funny: so funny

That's one way to keep the pack off your back wheel I suppose. :daumenhoch:

Just asked in my LBS, ECLAT's first shipment comes in early October, not 2-7 days like winstanleys say.
The plastic one with built in post is supposed to be lighter?
