can anyone tell me the difference between a mongoose california frame and a pro class frame
as im buying a complete mongoose but not sure what it is
-
Pic would be good, mainly tube sizes and weight ;)
Out then against each other and its pretty easy...
If its a full bike the parts will give it away :daumenhoch:
-
i havent got a pic at the moment but it does have the high crossbar on the handlebars and six spoke skyways
the drop outs are on the bottom of the forks and it is loop tailed
cant see the brakes or chainring as ive only seen a photo
its been painted with a brush so im getting it really cheap coz he doesnt know what it is >:D

yep 3 holes in brake bridge on pro class, 1 on the cali :daumenhoch:
also dropouts on the pro class are very thin compared to the cali, rear triangle on the pro class is chunky as hell, the cali tubes are much thinner...i could go on :LolLolLolLol:
-
cheap is good
lots of differences between the two you mention
but also the supergoose came in two specs
which could look like either of the two you mention as well
UK has skinny rear triangle like cali
US has chunky diameter tubes like pro class
pics and more pics
serial might be a help too
some on here is a thread or two about the differences . ;)
-
cheers fella,s im hoping to get it saturday so il post the frame number on here and take some pics
-
in broad terms
chunky down tube and rear triangle = pro class or US super - pro class F&F weighs 2grams ;) supergoose F&F 7lbs odd
skinny tubes and rear - UK super or cali or poss an expert ...

pro class from US super - hum
well from pics on say ebay you'd be hard pushed
i'm sure some one said there was something diff about the bottom bracket shell on the pro class
but can't find the thread
if you have one next you then weigh that sucka
think a pro class frame is under 4lbs and the fork under 2lbs
some tests on my web page

Here ya go folks : http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php'topic=60896.0
Yeah it's all in the cup lead-in to the BB and thickness of the dropouts and BB tube - almost impossible to tell from a built up bike with pro class decals on it i would say :-X
