Title: Bashguard Technology 101 (bashguard History)
Post by: SaMAlex on September 11, 2008, 09:01 AM: I havent written one, I found a really good bashguard history and thought some of you might like to see it. It gives the full story of bashguards, and even takes it right up to the new fly bolt on guard (but most of it is 90s bikes).

i like the look of the fly bashguard small, neat and looks good

Having said that, I dont really like bashguards. I see them like freecoasters; Id like to use one for maybe a session or 2, and then Id wanna get back to the tricks I like doing, that dont need them. Also, if I was to try a bashguard Id try a bolt on one so I can take it off again. tbh, Im liking the idea of a little volcano session with a bash guard more and more
(if that doesnt totally contradict everything I have just said :crazy2:)

Post by: nomad on September 12, 2008, 08:11 PM: i had a bashguard on my Mongoose Villian in around 1994, cant remember the make. I hated it thou, just got in the way.

Was that when they stole KHE's exact design then!? :LolLolLolLol: wasn't it was a grind disk with a bolt-on sprocket...?

Does anyone have a Mongoose Hooligan? used to like those frames :)
