is  the new school prolite stealth 2 crank arms identical to the 80s GT power seriess 3pc crank arm

Then no, they're not. Primo Powerbites are pretty damn close, apart from the stamped lettering on the side. Not sure how deep the lettering is, may be possible to rub it down, then put the GT sticker over it, job done.

I am not sure how deep the "Prolite Pro Series" is etched in to them, Real power series cranks have a satin finish. When NYSoul restored the ones on his PFT he mirror polished them and then worked them with 800 grit to get the satin finish back in to them. You might be able to do this on the Prolite ones and get rid of the writing?????
