Title: News Article
Post by: Paulo on September 13, 2008, 05:23 PM
The rubbish they write about nowadays. This country's press are really going to pot. How will BMX ever recover from this? :LolLolLolLol:

Well done to radster Kenny Hunter who got himself into the Glasgow Herold in their Local Hero series. Kenny is the club secretary for Titans BMX and along side the other Kenny, Kenny Scullion (chair), does loads for the club. Those who help out at clubs up and down the country know how much effort goes into running them, so it's nice to see some of that effort being recognised with a full page article. The club gets plenty of exposure as well so can only be a good thing. :daumenhoch:

I love the piccy.

To be honest though Kenny should have been wearing a helmet...................  Not because of safety but to cover that ugly face  ;) ;D

Well done Kenny, top picture mate.

Cheers guys, the photographer said to keep the helmet off, ride through a swamped track, jump the table top, SMILE and look right at the camera.  And we must have done that about 20 times before he was happy.  He was worse than Bob bloody Osborne!  ;D  It was only meant to be a press release to publicise the last race in our summer series but the reporter decided to turn it into something else.  Oh well, if it boosts the profile of the sport up here and gets more riders along to the track I won't complain.  And local authorities will probably lap up the angle of the story, how bmx can tackle anti-social behaviour, so hopefully it'll help when we approach them and try getting tracks built or repaired  ;)

Don't know about you lot, but this is the 3rd article about guys over 20 riding bikes I've read in the last few days.

Seems to be hitting the headlines a lot recently.

1st was in Singletrackworld (Mountain Bike Mag), 2nd was the Sunday Times and now this one....!!! What's going on?   :D
