I have just bought a wethepeople 4 seasons from ebay.
Only £30 so I thought I would put one together for a bit of fun...something different from my old skool bike.
Might even ride it
Anyway i digress. The bottom bracket looks a bit manked. I can't work out if the cup that the bearings fit into are replacable or not?
Also how do I know what size and type of BB do i just measure the diameter?
an ok buy or have i dropped a bollock?
cheers...Steve

US BB - what cranks do you plan to put into it? You may be able to get some bearings the same size from a local trader... :daumenhoch:
-
well i took a bit of an uneducated guess and bought
Primo Powerbite Cranks with a 22mm axle

is there any other gotchas waiting to F*** me up?
Or can I just go out and buy stems forks etc and expect them to fit?
Sorry for all the questions but as green as f*** when i comes to new school. :-[
-
as long as you buy the right size 1 1/8" forks and stem.
if in doubt ask before buy, plenty of help always available on here. :daumenhoch:
-
Do you have the tube spacer to fit between the bearings on those Primos dude?
-
Cheers for the advice, there will be plenty of questions coming :daumenhoch:
Tube spacer errrr don't know? they haven't arrived yet only won them the other day ...important i guess :idiot2:

IMO - In my opinion.
I like your opinion :daumenhoch:
Just bought some second hand wheels and tyres for this bad boy. Don't know about the quality, but particulaly like the sound of the front tyre - its called gusset Pimp :) back in the day my mum would have slapped me black and blue for mentioning them two words together :knuppel2:
-
Bought these to add to the new ride, learning a bit not now but still a long way off.
Any good? Left hand drive G-Sport Homer and Monkey hubs - Built by George French of G-Sport BMX.
They are 4-cross stainless steel spoked into a Oddysey Hazard superlite rim with Gusset Pimp tyre on the front and a Sunn rim and Snafu 2.10 tyre on the rear.
Sounds good and look alright...are they any good?
Anyway the update was not to talk about my wheels, it is about a stem and bars.
Just advice please. I notice bars and stems come in a couple of sizes is this personal preference or is there an exact science for choosing this sort of stuff?
