hi all can i paint over chrome and which is the best way to do it :daumenhoch: also can you paint over powder coat or do i need to strip it first any help would be great thanks all scott :daumenhoch:

in short , yes to both of your questions. give the surface a rub down with 400's wet n dry so that the paint can key, especially on chrome otherwise it will easily scratch off... :daumenhoch:

plasti cote from wilko is best on chrome, make sure the chrome is clean as a whistle before you spray, you don't need to sand it, it will scratch but don't it all get scratched anyway? also you can get chrome again if you wish simply by using nitromors hey presto chrome again. plasti cote straight on chrome works a treat. its a different formula than car paint :daumenhoch:
prep is everything when spraying take your time or it'll be :'(

Chrome is amazingly thin and comes of very easy with emery tape.
