Post by: FuNMoNsTeR on September 27, 2008, 08:25 PM
Please settle an arguement between me and a US guy.
Oval gussett Torker 280 was only available as a complete bike and only available in chrome not colours. 280X only available in a chrome frameset. Am i right or do i concede defeat  ;D

LPX was the frame and fork option for the 280X. Did they do a LP f&f?

Thanks for the input guys.... I had an American 'gentleman' slate my eBay listing because i said the 280 was a rare/rarer frameset than the 280X. He also said my frameset was well overpriced because it was not the original colour :D I dont think he liked it when i informed him that Torkers from that era were only chrome and not colours. Only the ProX was available in a colour and that was White i believe.
I bought my 280 in 1983 as a complete bike and also remember Action Bike thrash testing the 280X complete bike. I was waiting for someone to mention the LPX(280X f+f) cheers Bob  :daumenhoch:
