i thought it was a diamondback at 1st but i dunno now! thought id ask you guys before i unleash my spanners on it! :LolLolLolLol:
-
my first thoughts were of diamond back. parts look diamond back ish. maybe a late 90's venom. they changed the design slightly in the late 90's to a more substantial platform like that as the previous venoms the toptube stopped before the seattube and was attached by a plate between the platform stays.
-
It's a generic catalog-style POS, Ive got the same frame but with v-brake mounts at the rear, thats badged as an Apollo but ive seen numerous ones down the tip, all the same frames but different badging. Sticker on seat tube says Universal Cycles from Rayleigh does it not?
-
I agree its a generic frame i had a Redline RL640 in the mid nineties that was like that but with 990 lugs on the chain stays.
-
ok I won't say you've bought a pile o sh1te.
how about
"shame upon yourself"
:LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
couple of nights in a bath of coke (a cola, not nose candy) and that frame will come up lovely.

its all just basic mate ,would rub up as a roll about bike .
-
Looking on the bright side, if it is a DB it's leagues ahead of the Universals, RBKs and Kraves that parents are buying their kids lately.
-
I'm with philbert, pretty sure its a DB venom 1994-5ish...
its down to one of these that I started riding, walked past a cycle shop, see it in the window and thought 'I've always wanted a BMX' brand new credit card in pocket awaiting testing, job done.
scooted about from pub to pub on it, never 'riding' it was just transport, and then I meet Ian (subversion) and rest as they say is history...
