pretty sure its the rech 890 are 89mm rEACH.1020S ARE 102MM REACH

as greg says its the reach or length of the arms

so prob mounting spindle center to center of the lowest position the pad can sit in  :daumenhoch:




1020's are longer arms basically

the unexpected bonus is of course that you also now know the difference between MX900's and MX1000's! :daumenhoch:

lol, yeah i discovered that difference thanks to the guys on here a while ago too.  :daumenhoch:

only other thing i wish i knew a while ago (read: in the mid 80's!) was that i really shouldn't have used wet n dry to remove the gold anodising from a set of MX1000's.....  :-[
