Title: I remember the race, but not the place
Post by: paulgray on October 02, 2008, 09:09 AM
Who can tell me the location of this track.

I remember Andy Ruffell's pedal destroying my back wheel in one of the motos, thats why I have odd wheels in the first two pictures.

The action is from 1987 if that helps? Think it was a Pro race put on by a club rather than a national event.

Paul, is the bottom pic at the same meeting? Noticed that you have the sticker missing from the bottom of your plate in the last pic.

90% sure it's the same meeting. I noticed the missing sticker when I was grouping the pictures. The last pic with me leading Tim was in the first moto, I hade chrome UKIA rims, the jump we are going over was just before the final berm. My rear wheel got shredded before the finals and I replaced it with my old red ARAYA 7X, I guess I got the sticker on the day some time after the first moto.

IS THAT FLEMDOG IN 1ST PICCY WITH TORKER RACE GEAR?

For any young'uns that have strayed onto this topic the riders are

1st pic (one of the finals)

Damon Parkinson, Flempup, Geth, Paul Gray (me), Craig Schofield (havin a bad helmet day), Darren Stock, Big Tim and thats only seven, who else was in the race?

2nd pic (could also be a final  :-\ think so)

Darren, Damon, me, Craig, Jamie Vince (was he the other finalist?)

Can't remember who won the mains.

3rd pic (first moto)

Me and Tim March.
