For people who previously expressed an interest I've put some info up here: http://www.dialledbikes.com/news/index.html

That text colour on the brown background makes for difficult reading Mike but fortunately I think my two know enough of what's going on to make their decisions. Expect two orders before the days' out from Lil Humps and Matt428. Might even treat myself too. Any luck on sourcing parts to go with the cruisers?? Forks, cranks, headsets?? Humps
Update: Have sent email re my cruiser frame Mike. :daumenhoch:

Bl***y cheek!! It's my rose-tinted glasses that are the problem. ;) Also spotted the bit about forks and cranks later too. Got my request in and Matt's having one too. James can't make his mind up. Humps
-
20 of each frame is going to mean that they will be in very short supply. :-\
-
Got my request in now for 3 !! :daumenhoch: Just waiting to hear how to pay the deposits. Humps
-
Hmm so tempting, just one problem, no money, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
-
Hmm so tempting, just one problem, no money, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Sorry James.
That is one of the reasons I'm taking deposits though as I've been stung in the past with loads of people saying they want something but then changing their minds.
If it's any consolation, I don't think all 102 frames will be sold out in advance (though half the cruisers are accounted for already).
-
presuming my order for a cruiser stands Mike..... all as per our discussion and ill take a pair of Sinz Forks and DXR Cranks. Can you get hold of the DXR brakes as well?
if you could PM me a price and also answer the sizing question i sent you via PM would be great. Thanks Mate
Simon

zips if mike cant do it unpainted ill strip it and get SBD on the case - just bought a nice SDG Bel Air that'll match a treat....
-

There'll be three 'identical' bikes in my garage. Ti Chris King headsets, Chris King hubs, DXR cranks, all ti axles, spokes, etc. but different coloured parts. ;) It's going to be a sweet 2009. Humps
-
Good for you humps :LolLolLolLol: sweet :daumenhoch:

Si, I've reserved you a frame and we can sort out parts nearer the time.
I didn't receive your PM, but it's best to contact me by email anyway as I can't always get online but emails come straight to my BlackBerry which I can check several times a day. email address is info[at]dialledbikes.com
-
It would be a 20" as I've just got my new cruiser, but i don't fancy getting my arse whipped in 19+ just yet so maybe it's a good thing that I haven't got any cash at the moment.
-
With the Alpine, Holeshot, MX20R and the Cruiser it's a great looking line up at the moment, good work Mike.
-
This will probably appeal more to the younger riders (but I'll post it here as well so people can spread the word/tell their kids) but I've now added some additional info to the site about the "Dialled Bikes Support Team" which I'll be setting up to coincide with the launch of the new frames.

It's open to everyone, so if you think you've got a 30-39 cruiser title in ya, go for it ;)
Got your email, will respond after dinner.
-
Thanks to Mike, I just picked my cruiser frame up today and what a pukka job:

:) Very tempted, but can`t really justify a new frame yet.Plus my current Dialled refuses to break!
-
Any idea of arrival date of the painted frames yet Mike ??
-
4-6 weeks I hope as they're setting sail within the next few days.
-
What colour you going for James? mine is with SBD this week, just ordered the powder... cant wait.

You'll probably break yourself before you break your MX20, James. If it's tough enough for Tuffs, it's tough enough for just about anyone.

has anyone ever used a dialled frame in a skate park? i mane the 20" trail/race frame?
just wondered how the geometry differed and what's the weight was like.
cos to be honest i don't need a new frame but if i was going to get one then i'd quite like something a bit unusual.
-
I don't think people have used the MX20 frame as out and out park/street frames, JT, but a number of riders like Antony Tuffs, Digger Wetherelt and Joey Gough have used them as all round race, trail and park/street frames. There were 100 of the production MX20s and as far as I'm aware, nobody has broken one yet.
Joey Gough bent a prototype MX20 I made for her which had thinner tube walls, but that was the result of a 20ft high eject the bike incident and it came straight down onto the front wheel and deformed the top and down tubes where they meet the head tube.
I never bothered to weigh an MX20 frame but Ride did and I think they said it was 0.2lbs heavier than the S&M RV that was in the same issue, so probably around 5.25/5.5lbs.
The new (racier) version which is unimaginatively named MX20R (R for race/Reynolds 853) weighs 4.5lbs without paint.

Shiners was going to do something similar with SE Racing last year though the bike shops but nothing came of it, anyway i've got enough on my plate :LolLolLolLol:
-
Mike. How long is the back end on the MX20R with the 22" TT?
..can't find owt on the site.

When is the delivery date if I get in on that batch?
...and can you give me a fuller spec? angles and shit, brake lug types, colours available?
I feel like putting my money into the pocket of someone with BMX soul. :Great_Britain:
-
Phil, the frames set sail for the UK last week so should be here in 4-6 weeks.
I've sent you a PM.

Put my name on one...and check your PM for detail/wish list.
Cheers bro.

Got James's Cruiser frame back from SuperBikeDan's today. Superb job from PWS and can't wait to build it up. Here's a pic James took (http://p1.pinkbike.com/photo/2961/pbpic2961154.jpg) Waiting for Chris King headset to come in from GROOVE and Sinz chromo forks from Mike plus a couple of other bits and then it's build time. Saw a sample of Crooch's paint - wow!! When do we see it Simon?? Humps
PS: James's looks pure white but it's not, it's actually creamy white. And yes, it's being built in Matt's bedroom as he's not at home to use it!! :coolsmiley:
-
That looks very nice Alan. Another quality job from Dan.
Should be able to bring the forks to Daggers on Sunday if I can shake yet another cold/flu! F'king snow!
-
if I can shake yet another cold/flu!
Have you informed the Guinness Book of Records about the number of illnesses you've had this winter?? :daumenhoch: You must be in with a record-breaking chance Mike!! :D Humps
-
Im keeping it under wraps - ive shown a couple of people including Mike and i think its safe to say you wont forget it after you've seen it...its sort of my tribute to BADBMX
Ive just had the Headset and BB refaced just waiting on my wheels to be built for this weekend and a snap chainring is on its way over the pond as we speak....
Then you can all see.....
-
I'm going to be running out of colour choices at this rate when mine arrives. :( :LolLolLolLol:

How about a nice shade of green..... :LolLolLolLol:
-
Well you've nicked my first choice so it looks like I'll be going for Yellow, but I may change my mind yet. Might get it chromed. ;)
-

that would be nice..... to be honest if you did go for your first choice i very much doubt it would clash with mine specially if you go for the same as you have in the shop....
-
I'm also thinking of getting one chromed (with chrome forks and blue components), though it will probably be my 2010 race bike, as not enough time for me to sort it out for this season.
-
dont tell me you are retiring the Ti frame?
-
dont tell me you are retiring the Ti frame?
I will eventually. Just fancy a new bike for next season as I've been on the Ti frame since 2006.
-
Fair enough - whats the point in owning a bike company if you cant have a new bike!
Didnt realise you have had it that long.
-
Exactly mate. Perk of the job being able to have a frame when I feel like it ;)
-
Pm sent re the cruiser fame mike. Thanks!
.. now, anyone want a supercross cruiser frame??!
-
Mines built:

Hoping that I get a call from Mike early next week so I can dive around and pick them up. Need to get Matt's new one built up quickly as possible now that his S&M Race forks have arrived courtesy of GROOVE Racing so he's ready for March 15th @ Exeter. Got a pile of bits just waiting for the build of two more of the best bikes available. Can't wait ..... but will have to. Humps
-
Long shot but I'm hoping mine will be here in time for Herne Bay on the 1st. As I said long shot though, although if it arrives by Friday it'll be race ready that day. :daumenhoch:
-
No call from the carrier/forwarder yet, which means they're still on the ship or in customs. However, I expect the call Monday/Tuesday so should have the frames by Thursday.
Humps, I may get you to take Bill's and Zippy's as well if that's OK?
-
Humps may be picking mine up for me too Mike , good job he's got a van now :LolLolLolLol:
-
I may get you to take Bill's and Zippy's as well if that's OK?
No problem Mike but I'll have to travel under cover of darkness - five MX24R's in transit in a Transit will be a top target on the M25!! ;) Humps
-
Sweet. :D
-
Still no word yet. Was expecting the duty/VAT invoice yesterday, so will probably be tomorrow. Bloody customs!
-
UPDATE!
JUST CLEARED THE FRAMES THROUGH CUSTOMS/PAID DUTIES AND THEY WILL BE DELIVERED TO ME TOMORROW.
WILL START SENDING THEM OUT TO PRE-ORDER CUSTOMERS ON FRIDAY/MONDAY AFTER GETTING THEM STICKERED UP.
HUMPS, IF YOU WANT TO COME ROUND TO COLLECT THE 5 KENT BOUND FRAMES TOMORROW EVENING, DROP ME A TEXT TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND WE'LL SORT SOMETHING OUT.

Nice one Mike. :daumenhoch:
Can you leave the stickers off my order and chuck a set in that will live with a black or red frame? gonna hit the sprayers when I get it.

Don`t bother stickering up mine or Zippys Mike as they are going straight to Dan for powder :daumenhoch:
-
Save the trouble on stickering mine and Matt's as I'll do them later. Will contact you tomorrow afternoon re collection. Cheers. Humps
-
I'm going to keep mine standard initially Bill so if Alan can pick it up that'd be great.
Thanks for remembering though. :daumenhoch:
-
No probs. I'll just put all the Kent frames in boxes with stickers in the bag so you can put them on yourselves.
Zippy, noted about needing an extra set of stickers.
-
:daumenhoch:
-
Hi Mike probably going to leave mine standard for now so if you could bung in the stickers as mentioned would be appreciated
cheers
DC
-
Dont worry about stickering mine either Mike , Just let Humps have em when he comes to pick them up , HAPPY DAYS !!!!!!!!!! :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
Yeah i'll have one with out stickers cheers :daumenhoch:
-
Yeah i'll have one with out stickers cheers :daumenhoch:
WTF?? You do realise Jason that these are RACE frames and are for RACING, not for show-boating around the pits!! ;) >:D Humps
-
He only raced the last bike once , you ARE gonna have to race this one jason , you wont hear the end of it other wise !!!!!!!!
-
i was only joking  i just though i would jump on the band wagon ;)
any way season not started yet,i'll be there :P CALM DOWN
-
The word from Mike is that they've arrived at Dialled Villa and I'm heading out to relieve him of the 'Kent 5' very soon. Way hay!! Humps
-
yo mike,
please DO sticker mine up, I hate stickering up.
Then post it on out!
cheers,
steve
-
Picked up my cruiser from Mike last night, could not wait any longer !!!
The frame is superb and the paint is wicked blue with metalic flecks and looks the nuts.
Just need to save some money and get the 20" now, then i will have the full set 20" 24" and 4X.
Going by the amount of frames in Mikes living room with names on, Dialled will certainly have the most amount of bikes on the race scene. And quite righly so for the support he gives the sport and especially his team.
Cheers for last night Mike your a true gent.
Paul
-
No probs Paul. I'm just really grateful that people buy into the dialled bikes brand and support my company by buying my products.
Hopefully these frames will be seen as credible alternatives to other steel race frames like S&M, Standard, Brew, Staats, Curtis, etc.
By the way, that was my dining room, not the living room. If I even attempted to put a bike frame in the living room my wife would move out (hey, maybe I should try it!). I'm already walking on thin ice, but I've promised her they'll all be moved to the warehouse by the weekend and she can have her dining room back!
Everybody who pre-ordered should have their frame by next Wednesday. I'm working through the orders getting stuff stickered and boxed.
-
do you have any 20 frames left mike if so colours sizes and prices look good dude
-
Rode my MX24R for the first time at the weekend - a leisurely ride on Saturday along the River Exe cycleway and then three hours of riding Exeter BMX Club in the afternoon. And I was so impressed with how it felt that I entered in the 40+ group at the meeting on Sunday. Rode like a dream; only the rider let it down. I thought the shorter rear end compared to my Felt would make it feel too different for me but, what can I say other than I'm :smitten: . A few riders tried it out too and all seemed to like it. Thanks Mike. Humps
-
Glad you like/love it Alan.
I really appreciate all the positive feedback and props for dialled bikes.
-
I now have a half-built Dialled in my back room!
It would be nowhere near built if not for Alan Woods help today. :4_17_5:
I can't wait to ride it. Can it be better than my S&M Neal Wood? :smitten: It feels that way sat on it. Roomy up front, good angles....we shall see....still gotta bash out the old BB set. :knuppel2:
The finish is good. So good that after 20 years of red/black/chrome/white combos - time to finally go blue. 8)
Thanks Mike. You are a gent. Cheque should be with you? Keep my name on a shirt. :Great_Britain:
