Hack went through a few changes over the years as equipment changed. This one is in 79 or so with my friend and pilot Mike Hardaway

They are actually relatively easy to pedal. They do weigh a lot, but not as much as it might appear. Wheelies are the best, if you do it just right (and have a good monkey) you can lift the front wheel and side wheel for a short unicycle wheelie.
I wrote that I spent the day with Rick Twomey, you guys should see the crazy pictures he has of JP and Takahashi ripping up the tracks in their hack.

Great stuff m8... I always felt that sidehacks never got a fair shake with coverage and exposure back in the day. I would have loved to have had a go at Monkey ing or piloting one. A true classic...thanks for the pics.
