Zak - there is a difference in geometry and parts.
The XLP is much longer at 21.25" tt and 15" chainstays (the normal team is 20.5" & 14.75"), and also the parts mostly better on the XLP (wheels, seat, cranks, BB, stem, etc). I've seen the XLP in the flesh and it is beautiful - looks just like one of Dingobmxers customs. Sweet.
Saying that they are both lovely bikes.
If you are in the market for a racebike, also consider the Redline Flight and Proline series - they are the nuts for 09.
Hope this helps.
