hey people.
i might be taking ownership of a Ammaco Styler 500 With the Standing gear look-a-likes Ammaco did. its got SR pedals, mongoose stamped crank (rare 175mm) ammaco chainring, mongoose spider (i think) and a set of pro class rims on suzue hubs. i was just wondering how much this bike is worth and if anyone has any scans or pictures, adverts etc they could put up on this thread!
thanks... help needed!!...
Zak.

Zac.......it will depend on condition but they're only ever worth what someone is prepared to pay for em??
but they're a nice frame :daumenhoch:

Is it a survivor? would love to see some pics ifn it is, ammaco didn't sell many styler 500's and they only came as completes with blue OGK mags.
So i would say a one running pro-class rims is rare if it is a survivor.
I will try and find a pic.

steve, its a deffo survivor, the proclass need new hubs or hub restoration and they spokes are more rusty than an old austin allegro but the rims are bloody mint, they got no brake rub or nowt... need new ribbon though, i think only one is there and the other is missing!!... the frame and forks are sound, no bend, re-welds, cracks but i dont understand why it has a load a chips???? well i might go collect it tonight so i'll let you guys know and i'll get some pics...

Ammaco and Mongoose teamed up to help each other make bikes (i think) but this never happened in the US and only in the UK, you can tell differences between a US and UK 'Goose, i think theres a thread about it all somewhere...

Wanna try to bob, i also love the survivor frames and fresh finds too, i know it needs a ton of work but its to nice and rare to leave it in its condition, would love to do a replica of someone who rode one? did any top rider ride one??
and for the pro class's i might just sell um off... we'll see what happens!...

was gonna keep it or if i sell i was gonna bosh it up real good, i've done this before on a burner crank and the results looked NOS, so im gonna follow my past plan and do it to the Goose one, these are the 175mm ones so be prepared to pay!......
-
gotta add good news, the dropouts are excellent not chewed up, really happy about that also the srew-in peg threads are also top notch! :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:

Great find and good to see the pics, they didn't make styler 500's in 85 i would guess its 87-88.
The wheels and chain set i suspect are earlier and not std on the complete styler 500 (they only came as completes)
The only riders to ride one to my knowledge are myself and dave frame.
Dave frames was running pro-class with black comp st tyres and chrome mk1 ez bars.
Nice find anyway, do you have the bars?
