Title: when did 14mm take over from 10mm axels?

or are 10mm forks still available in new school?  I aint got a clue - can someone help please.

well strangley enough the trend seems to be coming back around to a 10mm axle on the front, so in saying that, yes, 10mm forks are available. try alansbmx

ive just gone back to a 10mm front axle
tad lighter than the 14mm
plus dont seem to break as much as the oldies

landing gears have always been 10mm front

i also have some dna 1.1/8th forks with 10mm drops

just bought an os frame but the forks which came on it were not the originals and looked more like ns but were 10mm????????????????

I'm like a stick of rock guy - Ive got oldschool running all the way through me ;)

Most race bikes are still 10 mm axles  :coolsmiley:

Pichforks and ditchforks are availible in 10 and 14 mm with or without brake mounts.
