Title: Blackwall new school tyres...ok on old school??
Post by: sam hudson on January 22, 2006, 11:19 PM
Just seen bodamus's excellent Quad and Ripper.I was always dead against putting New school tyres on old school, but they look great on his Ripper. Are they new Comp 3 tyres?
The thing is,i want to ride my bikes so i was contemplating using ns tyres anyway.Am i a Heathen??? :knuppel2:

Apparently those were oldish school black wall comp 3's....now rare(aint everything). So i might have to plump for modern comp3s with the stupid white TIOGA written all over the sidewall(that will have to come off).

I'm sure Primo (or someone like that) does a skinwall 'new school' tyre. If I were doing an old school 'daily rider', I shuffle down to Wilko's and buy 2 cheapo comp 3 copies at £3.99 each ;)
