NB. Change of venue.  It was Crewe, now it's Manchester.  DO NOT Turn up at Crewe!!!

Missing Riders

Its the 4th Round of the Winter Series, so come on lads get ya names down!!!!

The 3rd round at Lytham was a great day out.  The Racing was excellent but the weather was shite.
 
The Manchester track is brilliant and even though it looks like a roller coaster its very ridable for OS.  Even Creamy made it round without falling off!!

Time for a public service announcement me thinks.

The Manc track is open 7 days a week until 9.00pm (flodlights), and is mostly council run and open to all. Club night is Thursday 6.00-9.00, so the gate is on then and attracts an increasing amount of regional riders. Also Saturday afternoons is a club session, 3.00-6.00. On the 1st Saturday of each month there is a race meeting during this time and is open to all (think it's £2). It will mostly be made up of local kids, with the odd club member, so not ultra competative. I would imagine if 4 OS riders turned up, they might get their own gate, but can't guarantee. I guess it depends on numbers in other classes.

A compilation DVD of all the footage not currently available on my OS DVD's is now available.

It costs me just over £1 to for disc, postage and packing so I'm charging £1.50 to cover my costs!!

If you want to pickup a DVD from Manchester then you can bung me a few pence to cover the cost of a blank DVD!

Its a good track.   Tis like a roller coaster.

Manchester BMX Track - Directions

Manchester BMX Track is situated in Platt Fields, Fallowfield, Manchester. The track is accessible from Wilmslow Road, just north of the junction with Wilbraham Road.

There are 5 roads leading to the park entrance, take any of the roads that are accessible (2 are one way) and the park entrance is at the end of Mabfield Road.

Chris-B and Dex Dexter!!!!!!

Name your Bikes and Plate No's (Unless Chris is racing the same bike, LMK) and I'll add you to the Riders list

If your haven't got a plate Dex then you can pick up a loaner plate when you sign in at Manchester.  If you have a plate then choose any number not used in the North Region on www.ossbmxracing.co.uk

Make sure you have a helmet and some pads and gloves.   If you need some for the day then let us know.   Someone might be able to bring loaners.

You have to sign in before 11:00 am.   Get there around 10-10:30, sign in and then have a few practice laps.

I'm gonna have to let the side down I'm afraid and back out of this one, reason: I'm gettin "inked" on Friday  :idiot2: which involves me wrapping myself in cling film for 4 days afterwards, bad timing but its the only weekend I could do it, hope you still break the record  :'(

Excellent days racing, 'Orrible days weather!!

Thank Fook Greg's cramp stopped him before mine stopped me!!

First time I've beaten Greg, so he'll be out for revenge at Bradfor

Afterwards it took 15 minutes to get my shoes off because both of my calves cramped up!!

Well done Dex!!  When we watched you practice we all said you'd be a handful.

Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming today.
I had a cracking time and can't wait for Bradford.

Things that pleased me:
Bike stayed together.
I managed to get round without my legs packing in.
I met some top blokes.
My boy behaved himself whilst I was on the track.

Things that didn't please me:
The rain
The massive bruise on my hip, my rib pain and my numb fingers from my A final crash.
Oh well - something to work on for next time.

Seriously - thanks again.  It was defo worth it and I'm glad I got back into BMX.

sorry lads for not bein there but on friday night me shed was broken into and bikes were stolen along with my boys crossers so sunday was spent fortifying the doors but i will be at bradford to make my masters debut
