as you can see from my signiture i'm after ablue and yellow falcon pro cos it was my first bike..
so i check on the bay all the time, then this pops up.. won it for £20 and picked it up half hour later..
my old man seems to think he bought me mine in 84 and after studying some old videos it turns out that mine had a mongoose style hole on the front gusset and had a plastic seat... i'm guessing this one is older but it's about as close as i've come to reliving the dream ;D ;D..
what d'ya think ? i know its a halfords special but its all original and present.. not bad find for a score..

i thought there was someone on here flogging one a while ago, i think he offered to sell me it when i put up a wanted ad for a falcon pro......i think its the one in the museum..
-
i was watching that myself.
bit to far away though.
cheap that was.
-

Nice old ride, One of the best bikes for the money in the early eighties was the Falcon Pro Omega it was arguably better than the Aero Pro and like Hens Teeth to find
-
that is an excellent find, the condition is fantastic, i can remember seing them bitd and cant believe one survived in that condition, well done on the find
-
i like it!
the seat rules
i'd run that on my rider

I had emailed the seller and he agreed that he would be willing to post it - was going to bid on it but went out and didn't get back in time :(
-
For the not so minted I thought the Falcon's were good value. I had a Theta (I think) chrome one down from the Omega Pro, but looked the same!! Can't go wrong for £20 and it looks like new :daumenhoch:
-
It's great that you've got hold of you're old ride (almost) I'd love my old Team Murray back now. Funny really cos I hated it BITD ;D
-
Wow, that is a fantastic score....it looks like new and to find a bike that is that original is bloody hard.
If I had seen it, I would have sniped you as I am only 45 mins from Southampton! :)
-
Well I'm only 30 mins from S'oton Si, cos I've got a faster car than you (http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/d158/gmac-01/tongue3.gif)

good job you didn't bid cos you woudn't have won it, it just would have cost me more... i put in a silly bid to ensure winning. :daumenhoch:
-
Good find fella!
Lovely original condition and only £20! Nice one. :daumenhoch:
-
Condition is GOOD
-
You'll want this to complement it!!

i would have that but its too small... i would've looked well cool cruising on my ride wearing that top ;D
-

big spender eh ;D.
-
not usually a big spender more of a tight b*stard but i wasn't gonna let it go cos it was what i'd been waiting for.. anyway it would have been funded by my dx endcap funds...
maybe we should work out a system on here where we tell each other what our highest bids would've been then everyone except highest bidder could back off and not bump up the price for whoever wants it the most....
dunno if it would work tho, we'd all have to be very trusting..
-
missed that one and im only 10 mins from southampton :'(

You would have only paid £21 :) I was only going to put in a bid of £20 if no one else had as I didn't really want it but couldn't let it go at that price. Glad you got the bike you wanted though - I'm happy ;D :daumenhoch:
-
lol you would have needed more than DX funds if i had wanted it mate.
-
Top score :daumenhoch:
-
Good stuff and i agree with the above. Great to buy a bike like you had bitd. I want my old bikes plus my dream bikes, then I'm done. I could be a while !! :'(
-
found this pic of me on my first bike, i'm in the middle on the falcon pro and my bro is on the left on his extra burner, the other ones my mate, he looks pretty tuff doesn't he...
i think this is from about 84 making me 7...

cool find and well original , i found a falcon vieta if that how you spell it in about the same condition last year ,all that mine needs doing is new tyres as ones on it are perished .
-
My first BMX was a chrome Theta. No plans to rebuy one, but it did hold up pretty well to the stuff I threw at it. Much better than a Burner.
I think they all had Greek names, pretty sure there was an Alpha and a Gamma in there, too.
