Just bought something from the US on ebay.
Wont be sourcing parts from over there anymore.
Exchange rate is 1.56!!!!!
-
It might get worse, too ::)
No good for buying but might help prices when you sell stuff worldwide :-\
-
it used to be about that when i started collect bmx stuff years ago but then you used to be able to get whole bike trickstar`s for about £200 and then hardly anything on ebay uk so you had to go state side
-
Swings and roundabouts, it will come back good again but probably not for a while ;).
-
it is swings and round abouts, its good for us in our business cos it stops people buying stuff from the states, but its sh*t for us aswell cos we still have too and are getting a sh*t exchange rate,if you get what i mean, :) :'( :Great_Britain:

MATE YOU SHOULD HAVE WAITED TO WENESDAY.........WHY?
USA GOES TO THE POLLS ON TUESDAY NIGHT, THINGS MIGHT IMPROVE ONCE THEY KNOW WHO THEIR NEW PRESIDENT IS!!!!
LEAST I HOPE THATS THE CASE, GOING TO THE STATES MYSELF EARLY NEXT YEAR, AND HAVEN'T GOT MY DOLLARS YET!!!!!
-
the rate used to be around 1.50 and always came back to around that level if you look at charts.
2 dollars to the pound was very good for us to buy at the time, cant see it going back to that for a long time.
but as said selling is good :daumenhoch:

I have ordered from the states in the past and been stung by customs however i am willing to take a punt so ordered again, so i have just recieved a new frame and avoided customs charges so saved a packet as the price of the frame in the uk was going up as the dollar went down.
The guy i bought off entered the value as $100 on the declaration when the true value was $400.
Still savings to be had if you do your homework.
