Got a set of bars from boba (cheers m8y) we think there Ammaco bars. Found this logo on them, I was wondering if all Ammaco stuff carried this logo ? Then I would be able to ID stuff easly in the future. Anyone recognise it ?

Could be mate, could be....... ???

My other Theory is in fact these were custom made bars for JR Ewing.. he must have had a bob or two back then in the 80's when he was famous...could have stretched to a set of BMX bars.. think thats a long shot though.
-
Not ammaco's as they would be stamped with Ammaco, but certainly look the part. Someone else should be able to shed more light on them ;)
-
These are the same bars i posted up in the other thread swivel - to get ID'd for Simon - so they weren't ammaco after all ? But they obviously looked like just like 'em ?
-
Yeah really nice bars mate, no doubt about that. To be honest, the earlier part of Ammaco's history they hardly stamped anything, it was on the later freestyle models and the race bikes they started manufacturing their own parts and stamping them. Prior to that i.e. 1982/1983 etc... the parts mainly where from elsewhere and copies to keep the cost down.

Got this from someone on BMX Museum,
"I recognize it as a logo on a set of CW copy bars that I have. They probably were a supplier to various bike brands. My set seems to be pretty decent quality."
So possibly a "generic" manufacturer that Ammaco used at first.

Got another set of bars today, think I'm developing a nasty bar habit - now I have three pairs of which one is only probaly usable. Anyway, this set have a JC stamp on them, anyone know that name ?

hehe.. Yeh, everything but Ammaco bars :2funny: I'm thinking the Silver will work better, see how much blue is on the bike as it gets built up.

Go with the JC Bible Bars ;D
The Holy Spirit of Biblical BMX'cellence :D
-
I dunno - think of the wardrobe options if you go with the JR dallas bars - NOS stetson in the for sale section anyone ? ;D

Looks like there pretty common from BITD. http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=702680#p702680
Few guys over there have them on Redline bikes, GTs from 85...
