Were they well lubed  ;)
Ti against Ti doesnt go, it needs a grease compound to prevent galling (binding together)

yes was using copper grease all i was doin was changing the arms using me old bb
and tried to clean the threads in the axle today and they just fall out
the nuts are bin fodder as they wouldnt even clean up
so looks like ive ruined a decent axle and bolts

You could get the axle helicoiled, if its profile its 3/8 unf.
Although tapping ti should be fun.

I had the opposite  :-\  Ti bolts, ti axle...... Tighten 3 or 4 times during a 3 hr sesh, I got so ill with it I ended up supergluing em which worked till I changed my frame  :LolLolLolLol:, went back to 2 cromo bolts and all is good, kept the sprocket ti bolt.
