Got some Green MX1000's so I could stripe & polish them. But this Green paint just don't want to come off. Iv tried Nitro Mors, is there anything better ?
Some of the paint has come off, but I expected it to just peal off & leave a nice brake ready for polishing. Is this some special hard ba$tard paint on these MX1000's or what.
Chris :(

Hi,Chris i had the same prob mate with mine? ??? one half of the caliper was chrome when stripped (came off easy),but the other half just wouldn't come off? had to scrub it with very fine wire wool and nitro mor's, for ages then polished it up! its a pig to do but the only way i found to do the green ones.

ive just stripped some white ones i got most of the paint off and the remainder i just blitzed with the polishing wheel it soon came off, i use brown soap first and it takes the paint straight off, then finish off with a softer mop and white soap
