Can anybody advise me what year and model this Redline is. i Think its 1985?

looks like a 500 to me, possibly 85/86.

The year is right, but it's not a PXL800. That is the full fat, top of the range pro frame set, yours is from the other end of the scale ;)

Yep , more budget end Tri Moly frame ( like Ron says ^^^^^ ) .

Checked the head tube - yout correct if it was a PXL800 it would have 5". Further investigation and a clean i can see on the top tube near the seat post 400 C ? Cant make any sense of the serial number? Anybody got any ideas.
