Anyone had a pair of Rims Powder coated ?
Do they look as good as anodising ?
opinions please....
-
powder and anodising look different, so not really comparable.
if you want shiney white then powder it is, if you want a nice metally blue or red then anodising will be good.
(assuming your rims are Ali)
i wouldn't think powder coated rims would be that good for regular use as it't quite prone to chipping, but then anodising scratches easy.
Kendo has a set of powder coated pro-class on a DP firebird freestyler.

if looks is all you're worried about they'll be fine,
just dont use brakes with them,
the powder will wear off and cover everything with black shit,
the braking surface will look shit too within a couple of rides,
ano is tougher and your brakes will be more consistent.
-
been using powdered rims for nearly 2 years now and they're still going fine.
