Funny how pics can bring back memories. The hack on the left, my hack, the hack piloted by Chris Foster (AKA The Hulk--Green Uniform and all that) and another hack were involved in what i remember to be an epic hack battle at Rancho in 78-79.
The race was brutal, with all 4 hacks going down in the first moto, 2 in the second moto, and three in the last moto (Which resulted in us breaking the ankle of the monkey of the hack team above--not on purpose.) After the last moto, we tied on points with us getting the win based on the higher placing in the last moto. It was just a local race, but i remember it vividly cause people were just waiting for the carnage at the berms and they even clapped and yelled after the last moto...
Sighg..I miss Rancho

was there any rules specifying the side your hack should be built on?
-
Looking at that second to last one Olli I`d say not, you novice :daumenhoch:
-
Hacks could go on either side. We raced at Rancho most of the time with a right hand first turn so we preferred a left hand hack which allowed a quicker set-up for the corner.

sweet pics :daumenhoch:
