Title: Renthal Seatpost strip - Thanks Del
Post by: snav69 on November 15, 2008, 12:22 PM
As we all know , silver renthal laybacks are few and far between these days so i stripped a red one using our old anno stripping buddy oven pride but in doing so it left all the sticky residue off the back of the decals on the post  :(
So i sent the buggered decals to del who did me some repops and hey presto , Fookin Superb  :smitten:

So a HUGE thanks to Del for doing these for me  :4_17_5:

I now have 2 very shiny silver Renthal laybacks  :smitten:

Zak , Some people spread the oven pride all over and just leave it for a few minutes and then rub it off . myself , i put it all over whatever it is i'm stripping and work the anno off with my yellow marigolds on  :-* as that way i know i get complete coverage and know that all the anno comes off at the same time. Then i give whatever it is a wash in soapy watey then give it a quick wipe with autosol to make it bling  8)

Seat post looks mint - did it take much buffing up to get it to shine like that after you'd stripped the anno ? I've got a set of dc 1020's and levers i wanna do at some point.
