There were 126 entries at today's meeting including over thirty Novices and a dozen out-of-region visitors including two from the North East.  Round 2 is at Dagenham in December and the London clubs should provide a bigger attendance than today so it should be quite a meeting.  Humps

That knee slide cornering technqiue still needs a bit of work ;D

Can't believe I went down twice in pretty much the same spot.

My right hand's a bit messed up and oozing at the moment but should be OK by next weekend.

Yeah, I like that last photo.  Flat out, foot out!

Both those photos are from the second moto, Matt.  My crash in the final was a bit further round the berm (and a bit more spectacular).

It was me that started to slide first Matt, and that in turn made Mike try to avoid me and he started sliding too, however I dabbed my foot and stayed upright whilst Mike ate dirt  ::)

Thats a classic pose Mike! That is only the third shot i've ever seen where the bike/body position is EXACTLY the same & from EXACTLY the same angle, one is of Stu Thompson in 1980 the other is of Steve peat in the early 2000's.

Your in good company then!  :knuppel2:

Get rid of all the others, blow yourself up big & keep that pic forever cos its ACE!!!!!!! 8)

I think it captures what racing/riding is all about.  :daumenhoch:

Cheers Keith.  Means a lot coming from an old school leg-end ;)  :daumenhoch:

I was well off the pace today (which was a bit disappointing after riding well at Bournemouth for the summer regional).  Gates were crap and my legs felt heavy (need to get back on it after a month off the bike and man flu).  Still enjoyed it though.  Just glad to be back out there again.

1st in the sequence is also a gem,  this is why Bill does 1 pedal starts, he"s only got
1 leg.

Looks to me like Kev & Matt had correct tyre pressures but bill & Mike had 100psi in them!!!  ;D ;D ;D
Title: Re: bournemouth today

You could be right Keith.  I pumped my tyres up before going on the track as they felt a bit soft after the bike had been standing for a month.  Felt fine in practice, but we never go race speed in practice.  Should have probably let a bit out after the first crash.  But wouldn't have made much difference result-wise.  Matt and Kev were flying yesterday so I would've needed an engine on the bike to keep up, rather than letting air out of the tyres.  Just need to shake this lurgy and get some gate practice and riding in again.

Chicksands Sunday, Herne Bay club meet the following week, then Dagenham should sharpen me up a bit before gorging myself at Xmas and putting on half a stone!

Yeah, really nice to meet you at last Dave.  Really looking forward to seeing the mag/the dialled bikes ad and also subscribing to it.

By the way, you took an ace photo of me and Jon Moore sandwiching Keith at the B'mouth summer regional.  Any chance you could e-mail it to me?  You also need to let me know where to send the ad fee and who to make the cheque payable to.

I was trying to take the corner too low where it`s flat and the surface is a little loose, and it did work to a certain extent because by the first jump after the corner I`was level with Kev and Matt, but unfortunatly I never had the same momentum as them so down the second straight they pulled away again, it was a good days racing though and very enjoyable  :daumenhoch:

Re Novice Girls unfortunately they were incorporated in with Female 7-9 as far as I can see so I reported the races rather than splitting out the groups within - there were 11 combined groups which get outsorted when they do the Series points.
