Bought this of ebay for £220.00 (plus shipping) - Do i give it a full resto or Keep it as a survivor - Your opinions would be appreciated. The threads on the crank spindle are fooked, apart from that needs a good clean.

Survivor :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
just restore it, there's loads of original finnish ones around. better to make a decent build out of it, or ride the f**k out of it.
-
Restore it,
What kinda forks are they?
-
spit and polish then thrash it :D
i like the survivor ( covered in mud ) look :daumenhoch:
-
Very nice :)
If the fork drop outs are to the inside of the fork legs, they are Tange TX500, if the drop outs are in the centre they are LRV... and if they have Akisu on the steering tube then...
Pretty cool whatever they are, not many in the UK, that's for sure.
Give it a good clean, and then post it back up :)

its a nice frame, but everything else lets it down imo.
-
Restore, Robinsons were always bling bitd.
-
If you can keep the OG chrome & it'll polish well then do that , if not then you could re-chrome .
Those forks are funky as , I don't think from the same era though ? ( as in if it was a serious race bike kinda way ) .
Looks like it could've been built out of odd parts laying around to make a complete to sell .
-
As mattdub says for sure, you should be able to get it looking bling againe. seen far worse thats come up sweet :daumenhoch:

Restore it..as you can see from Crazypaving, Robinson's can be beautiful bikes when done right...I always loved a Robinson bitd, beautiful frame. How much for the forks? Might need them for my Mathews hardtail. Think Matt's right, looks like someone threw parts on it to flip it. Love the 3 piece cranks and UNI though.
