in the new year i shall be looking for a midschool freestyle frame
ideally it would be chrome and have 1/8th aheadset, twin top tubes or just seat stays that go along the top tube a little way like the gt performers
it would need to have 14mm drop outs and ad brake mounts front and rear
also a long top tube 20"+
i have no idea what frame i have described above so this is a chance for everyone to show me a frame that they have in mind
cheers everyone :daumenhoch:
-
heavy tools screamer would be a cheap option, either that or a hoffman sugar daddy' sd4, haro zippo
i could go on and on but they are the most affordable and quite easy to find.
-
some s&ms have what you require not 100% on the tt length
or a lengthy just to give you an idea

-
crikey how nice are all those!
ive got this haro shredder and all the dimensions are spot on for me but its just not my idea of a freestyler
so i want to change the frame + forks for something better after xmas

nowt much wrong with that chromey 90s
-
You'll do well to find all that in one frame and fork.... You might have to compromise on one of those things?
-
dragonfly?

KHE Catweasle? Can't remember if it was ever 14mm though.

KHE Catweasle? Can't remember if it was ever 14mm though.
that's a minor detail, there's only an angle grinder between 10mm and 14mm. :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:
but basically, other than the twin top tubes, it's a new school bike not a midschool he seeks. :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol: :LolLolLolLol:

Scrub the Catweasle actually. It's nowhere near a 20"TT.

true i have repaired 5 frames this year putting them back to 10mm.

but some manufacturers actaully put marks on the forks to show how much to grind em out. I've seen some.
it was tongue in cheek really, but any decent engineering place would be able to sort that wouldn't they?
and midschool was all about adapting stuff.
now...where's me grinder.....
-
I've ground out several frames in my time. No problemo at all, very straightforward job.

new school !!! dread the thought! :LolLolLolLol:
actually 14mm d/o dont matter too much as i may end up putting skyways on anyway
could i just buy an old school and modify it with thicker drop outs and ad mounts and some xtra gusseting on the weak points?
what do you think?

Scrub the platform or twin TT and your search will become way easier :)
AD forks can be tricky to find though.
-
love that standard dan. always have. the blockbuster theme is sooo cool.
-
morales TT is about 18inch.
-
they do come up now n then and they are well priced, and awesomely made and bomb proof
20" top tube too and very very roomy WAL RIOT
