Here is a pic of my desperatly in need of restoration redline 600a,owned by me since i was 11 (now 36),I raced it for a couple of years at miltonkeynes (rays radicals wasn,t it?) then as you do at that age lost interest but have kept hold of it all this time.Maybe next year it will get some love. 8)

Hello matt wickham. ;) havent seen you in a few years.my dad says he bumps in to you every now and then.
yes will give you a nudge when i have time/funds to get it restored it looks worse than it is.
oh and my surname is saunders, ring any bells :)
PS
i found a video the other day of a winter meeting in 84/85 that we brought back then i won the semi but fell off in the final(pisser) you of course won every race as usual(sod) ;D.

Nice. Cut my teeth on a 600a I did... Get it dipped, powder it white, fresh decals, some red Tuff II's, Lightning bolt Elina seat, garnish the rest with the usual titbits, and voila! :daumenhoch:
-
voila an ulgly white bike! :)
naa when it gets done its staying crome, will probably finish it as i raced it rather than factory. :daumenhoch:

Evening Mr Saunders :daumenhoch: , yeah I bump into your dad sometimes .
The 600a looks a bit sad right now so restoring it would be cool ;) . If you can then get it indoors for the time being so it does'nt get any worse over the winter that would be ideal , keep it anywhere like under the bed/in wardrobe etc .

Only when you are'nt staying over Bob :-*

think it may be a bit far gone for a re-chrome, it will be pitted to fook and you probably wont be happy with the re-chrome, only my opinion anyhow, good luck with it, defo worth restoring though... :daumenhoch:
-
Have done a bit of research on chroming and the pitting can be filled with a heavier coat of copper and a reprep before the rest of the plating.I have owned this bike over 25 years and i think it desearves a bit of pampering. :daumenhoch:
