looks okay for the money, 2009 is only about £185 so that's pretty good.
big chain ring and a free wheel not a cassette hub, but that might not bother him, but obviously a nice small chain ring (or sprocket i think the sprogs call em) is easier to keep off the coping.
depends what he wants to use it for i guess.
does he only want a Mongoose? and is that budget fixed?
if he's going to be looking to upgrade he might be better spending a bit more from the off.
also, if you can find any left 2008 bikes were better value than 2009 bikes generally.

Yes His wife says hes just talking about a mongoose to ride to the shops and Back .. Coping wont really be coming into the equation. and yes 150 200 is the Max its for a Xmas pressie so No rush on her part....

well you won't go far wrong, there's loads of folks doing that Mongoose around that price and in different colours, blue is one, so jus tlook for who's got it in stock and who does free delivery.
wiggle, £186 delivered, i sense he would prefer pink

:) 20.1 toptube-seems a bit short for someone who`s 6"1?
-
I'm 5'10" on a good day!!
I prefer 20.5" TT!! :daumenhoch:

I'm 6' 2" and ride my bike, i have no idea what the top tube length is.
probably 20" + a bit. (it's a colony endeavor and feels good)
however i am aware that bmx's generally are a touch small for me.

21" or 21.5" is better for 6ft plus
