now iv got your attention
iv taken a nos izumi chain out of the packaging tonight ,,only to find its stiffer than a pensioners todger on viagra,,,,,
i mean you pick it up and it stays as it came out the box ,
i thought of soaking it in some parrafin ,for a while the only thing is its a red chain ,,do you reckon the parrafin would remove the red coating
any ideas what to use
cheers :daumenhoch:

WD40
:daumenhoch: why the fook did i not think of that ,,,,another senile moment :crazy2: :idiot2:

I was going to say WD40, dont worry its been a long day aint it :daumenhoch:
-
personally i wouldnt use WD40 rather something like finishline chain lube.
also if you bend the chain sideways (ie the way its not meant to be bent) slightly you will free up the stiff links. its what you do if you have to chain split a mtb chain as when you put them back together you always get stiff links.

Any type of penetrating oil/fluid wd40 is fine.
