nice one chaps any chance of a dummies guide?
:uglystupid2: i need a bolt by bolt run through
-
there is only one bolt!
-
hehe
just undo it
swap the spindle
rebuilding is a reversal of stripping
-
i know told u it was a dummies guide, im seein two bolts? one in the centre of the caliper the other holing the arm on ,
any chance of a picture guide? :-\ :-[
cheers
-
just put the parts you take off in a line.
then change the spindle.
and put the parts back on in reverse to how you took em off.
-
fookin hell dude....lol
your best bet is to put all the bits in a bag...jumble em up, then put em back together in any old order
......picaso style brakes

if u guys could explain using this thatd be great,

Take the Acorn nut off the end
Take the normal nut off
Take the washer off
Take the front arm off
Take the washer off
Take the rear arm off
Take the washer off
Take the spring out
Put new spring in new Spindle
Put washer on
Put rear arm on
Put washer on
Put front arm on
Put washer on
Put flat nut on and nip up so there is no play and arms move freely
Hold back nut in place with a spanner and Nip up the Acorn nut against it

-
well how did it go?
-
surely nothing went wrong
-
i reckon he used to much salt
-
Maybe the water was not hot enough to desolve the salt?
-
and, of course it can only contain so much salt before it is at its capacity.
-
so, maybe not enough water to desolve the salt?
Hmmm
gets a bit complex if you start thinking about it.
-
he knew that, thats why he asked for a step by step guide. and look what happened.
-
im gonna do a powerpoint presentation.
-
you lot have salt on the brain :D.
-
Once taken apart it should look like this

;)
Not really, it's one continuous bolt, just take it apart and have a go, don't be scared, you have to love the brake.
