Title: threadless 1"

does anybody know where i might find a threadless 1" headset????
i dont recall ever using one before...whats the dealio?

I had one, a Dia Compe one. I gave it to Harris.

they look to be tricky to get hold of... i need one for a set of super forks....maybe he still has it laying around

If you mean a 1" aheadset they are the same setup as 1 1/8" I've got 1" aheadsets from Billys recently & Cyclesport probably have some laying around, you can use 1" clamp on stems or get a shim & use a 1 1/8".

yep thats what i need....i have a shim for converting the stem...just need the headset
i'll get on to billys and cyclesport tomorrow

try these guys if no luck they also sell through ebay. fee shipping and no import tax. I have had a few of them over the years. however, the exchange rate aint as good now

all be carefull ordering the 1" threadless as most shops and i mean most
havent a clue about them  the jap1" threadless are smaller than you think
i even asked one to measure the outside and it still came and slopped about like one in a bucket.
i think racer bikes used these and small girly bikes .

i had the same problem as you dan -ended up using the cups +bearings from a beartrap headset to get it to fit in the frame  :tickedoff:
