Title: Hi-ten vs Cro-mo
Post by: Timmeh on December 19, 2008, 10:14 AM
Maybe this has already been thrashed out, but I was wondering...you can get a Subrosa Salvador street in full hi-ten steel for about £250, but you can also get a full cro-mo other brand bike for the same or less as well.

BITD cro-mo was a must have, is this not the case anymore as there seems to be lots of hi-ten bikes out there at 'fairly' high prices?

:) Still cromo all the way.Hi-ten frames are generally budget/beginner bikes, though the prices of low-end bikes seem to have gone stupid lately...

Yes...my thoughts exactly...starter Mongooses are daft prices, especially as you can get last years models with good spec for lower prices...
