-

couldnt let that holmes slip for that kind of money......
i think i may have a problem though ive only been collecting for about
3 months or so ::)
-
bert id be interested in the frame forks and headset if the price is right :) :)
actually id probably be interested in all the other bits if the price is right :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
-
ive only been collecting about 6 months so dont feel bad bert :daumenhoch:
-
thats a thing of beauty,
so good to see one in the correct colour,
any chance of comparing it to a RAL/BS chart for us dude?
try and nail down the right green? :LolLolLolLol:
bargain that too
-
can do i
waiting for the rimbo period and shipping from the states
how would i go about getting the colour charts to match it to/or would i be better sending it up to sbd?
its a bit costly but i will be sending a shed load to him during the next few months
-
bert you can get a ral chart from almost any paint suppliers
i got mine from my local place colorex but well worth gnabbing one.
-
would halfords or something like that do them ?....
does the chart cover powder coat and cellulose based paint?
whilst on the paint subject i do a bit of pinstriping like the old 50s hotrods have
ive been thinking of doing a rat rod style bmx
what do you guys think
-
im doing my 96 dor like a hot rod with the colors im going with
-
sounds like my kind of whip!
heres one i started a few months back,
s&m rv with previously butchered to 14mm drops and brake mounts shaved
front cable mount left on for some indian shit, feathers maybe, dunno,
the frames in the garden for some rust atm :smitten:

i've engraved the s&m bikes into the dowtube and plan to clean up that area after the rustings,
heres the hammered stem i "knocked" up for it,
it'd been horrifically stripped before i got it, like with a file or some shit,
the un-beaten patches will be mirror polished,
(http://www.radbmx.co.uk/archive/albums/g171/jarvicseven/DSC01476.jpg)
everything on it has been previously heavily used and its cost me ny on fook all so far :LolLolLolLol:
-
well if the frame and forks is up for grabs and i do get it, im happy to pop and see dan, i see him at ROM most saturdays
if u need stuff dropped to dan at the same time id be happy to drop it to him?
-
That's Ryan Partridge's old frame.

not unless he sold it to blown04gt from the museum
-
He did. About 4 months ago. Many people were familiar with his bike, but not many knew he sold it. I actually own those wacky, early Slam Bars in the pictures.

His blog was the haven for S&M collector info but he hasn't updated it for a while. He hasn't been very active on the forums either. Sometimes life has moments that are more important than bikes. But not many. ;)
-
I think it looked much better when Ryan had it. The chainring, the non chrome wheels, the black seat, odd tyres.
Its much more of a real bike rather than a Christmas tree.

alex did u see the picture of the inside of your van on ryans blog spot? its brilliant :daumenhoch: :daumenhoch:
so many frames

Yeah, I saw that. The same photo was also used in the Ride UKs 20-years-of-S&M feature.
