what for you did you never own that you wished you had in the bmx race bike world.....?
Mine is a JMC Darrel Young - never got one, probably never will...! :'(
-
A Hutch for me, always wanted one, never got one until this summer. Managed to get an early Pre serial US made one.
Now traded as i could never afford to build a Hutch :LolLolLolLol:
-
I'm with you Steve, always wanted a JMC DY. :smitten:
-
Always wanted a Slingshot... not the most desirable bmx ever but when i first ever seen one i thought it was out of this world! Never seen, drawn or thought of anything that came close to this bike... the best example i'd love to own or even ride or sit on is Stidds as his unbelievable and even has the rare Slingshot race bars!!
-
Flite cranks on a PK ripper....
I had a Southsea skatepark thrashed Hutch Pro with at least six re-welds on it...
SI

Always wanted a PK or a DB Harry Leary... :'(

Skyway graffites and Redline flites.
Had the flites since ive been collecting but never the grafs.

I always wanted a JMC DY but I rode a friends and it was sh!te! The Andy Patterson wasnt any better ::)
But the bike that rode the best and was always at the top of my want list was a GHP Long :daumenhoch:

There were 2 bikes I always wanted as a kid a PK Ripper & the same a mighty mini, a Hutch Hollywood in Pink
However I built a ripper a few years back and thought it rode shit :LolLolLolLol: They say you should never meet your hero's, so I've decided I'll never build a hollywood, just admire the photo's in the musuem, plus it's cheaper that way :daumenhoch:
-
Son-Lite Turbo Hubs and a Patterson Pro Long
-
I wanted rid of them heavy motomag mag wheels from my mongoose and wanted skyways so bad. The bike was soooo heavy for my puny legs.I even started to cut the cross sections off in between the 5 spoke mags with a hacksaw until dad caught me and gave me a circuit around the garden :'(
-
a diamondback viper.pleaded with my dad in the xmas of 83 to buy me one, they were £149 from halfords (i think)but the stupid eejit was having none of it and bought me a viceroy instead!i would have loved that damn viper chain guard en' :'( all!

1981 it had to be a diamond back senior-pro
(with blue bits) ;)

A loopy quadangle bitd, the ripper was as close as i got, :)

-
anything decent really.....all i had was a MKI burner, i did have a set of blue Z's for a while then swapped em for a set of blue coaster Tuffs :daumenhoch: other than that all my stuff was cheapo Landar stuff from the local Raleigh shop :-[
-
Torker 280x,only saw a photo of one in bmx action bike when they first came out, just thought they were COOL :smitten:
Had no chance of getting one as i had just got a Ripper frame for birthday and christmass combined. And that skinted mum and dad :'(
-
Redline Flights and SonLite hubs
and a Bell Moto open face helmet...
-
A gold race inc,
never owned one as yet, love em though.
-
I wanted DiamondBack Silverstreak or a Robinson. Parents couldn't afford either bike or didn't want to spend the money on me 'cause I wasn't very good :(. Brother got a Supergoose in '82 though and I remember it costing a ridiculous amount of money, I'm sure it was £350 at the time, just for the frame, does that sound about right?
-
:) A Burner.Never wanted one and never will.Really wanted a Hutch Expert but ended up with something else...
-
At the time, I was happy with the bikes I had first time around (Moto One, Supergoose II and PK Ripper). I guess I would've liked Flight cranks in the 80s.
With hindsight, I would've liked a complete factory bike like a Hutch Pro Star, DB Harry Leary Turbo or Mongoose Pro Class.
-
Had to be a Redline Pro styler exactly like Snav's i remember my mate Scott had one, the bugger
-
Skyway T/A or the Leary Turbo...
because i saw both bikes with Harry and Andy P riding them at the Anglo American in Redditch.
managed to get the CeeDub bars (for my Pro Star), but for that 6 months or so EVERYONE had
them suckers!
seem to remember desperately wanting some 'thinny' wheels and tyres, but discovered
girls and hanging out with the naughty boys at the same time... that was the end of that... :knuppel2:
-
Really would have liked bullseye cranks, carried this through to the 90s as well cos I would have liked some on my mtb.
But my ultimate would have been some Terrycable cranks. I knew a guy who had some on a minty Darrell Young.
-
A decent Bike. :(
-
a crome zeronine xl :smitten: :smitten:
-
never really bothered about any other bike, but i allways wanted a pair of vans, now i've got a sh*t load
-
Bell Moto 4 Helmet. :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
Would still love one now.
-
I never owned any Myrrh
I have made amens by amassing a small collection of deady toxins and some weapons grade plutonium :daumenhoch:
-
