Its my 41st birthday on 6th jan so maybe we can call it the SPILLERS CHICKY JAM 09 :LolLolLolLol: :D
-
Guess what. I'm in!! Humps
PS: Lee, will you be bringing jelly and ice cream??
-
I'm planning to be there. I must've put on at least half a stone over xmas so need to burn some of it off!
-
I can't say for certain - But it looks good so far
-
oh yes mate, I cant wait after yesterday. I might even chuck my bike in my van and hit my local trails today
-
At this rate, nobody is gonna be racing next season and everyone will just go to session at Chicksands :D
At £5 per day, it's certainly less expensive.
-
i cant believe it has taken me so long to get there. I wanted to go years ago, but I never got round to it. The place rocks!
-
I'm not allowed out to play :( Have fun
-
i am up for that sherine cant come she got to have kids
-
I dare say I'll be there. :)
Mike, I don't rate Chicky in the summer, it needs rain to run well.....
-
Back to full on bmx racing in summer,i'm just enjoying flying down a track without getting knackered ;)
-
:-[ :-[ where is it and what classes are in there? My bike shat itself at herden but i would like to get a day in just for the experience on the O/S haro and my boy has certainly settled in and would love another race before school starts again :daumenhoch:
-
Karlos100 the Chicksands experience is not a race thing at all. It's an off-road cycle centre with a 4X run, dual slalom, dirt jumps (big and small) and lots of downhill and cross-country runs. An Old Skool ride probably wouldn't stand the bumps which are really for these springy-thingys that we've all got but, that said, there were lots of 20" and cruisers running there. To be honest, you'd be better of watching what's going on at say Herne Bay on www.easkentbmx.co.uk in the forum to see if they're doing gate practice on Sunday as you'll find just riding a bigger track like we've got at Broomfield will give you far more experience. Humps
-
where is it ???
-
I dare say I'll be there. :)
Mike, I don't rate Chicky in the summer, it needs rain to run well.....
Miles you nutter, Chicky is great in summer. But we'll all be too busy driving up and down the country to races to enjoy it. When are the South Regionals announced?
-
where is it ???
Near Shefford in Bedfordshire Bob. Why?? You thinking of coming to play?? Humps
-
any chance of a lift humps?feeling a bit left out :-[
-
At this rate we'll be having a 20 man pump race outa a 4 man gate :LolLolLolLol: pure carnage i think.
-
Looks like I may be getting a new company bike so may be out to play in the not too distant future. ;)
-
any chance of a lift humps?feeling a bit left out :-[
Waiting to find out if I've already got a van full Justin. I'll get in touch through here on text on Saturday once I know who's jumping in the green machine. Humps

-
Sorry guys, where off to race at Braintree.
My hero :smitten:
-
I've been warming up for Chicky this afternoon, a couple of Stella's in the pub, nice pasta meal, now a few cans of Grolsch and maybe a little tipple of scrumpy later...
Mr Wickham's older and wiser brother is going to there, big off on a DH bike a couple of days ago and he's still up for it, good chap. Will Matt remember what those metal things with wheels on we all talk about are for?
There was talk of the gate on the 4X track running tomorrow, I'm so up for that. :2gunsfiring_v1:
-
Another top day at the Sands of Chick.
Home, showered and now off for some pie and mash to replace all the calories I burned off today.
Quite a few cameras about today so looking forward to seeing some pics later.
-
Not long been in the traffic from the A1 onto the M25 was terrible :-\
Anyway as mike says it was another good day at the land of chick :daumenhoch: and a really good turn out as well :daumenhoch: and i'm now addicted to them trail jumps :D they are sweet.
I stood back in amazement at the lads pullin off them big airs with big tricks they are scary
And also bill :daumenhoch: you are a crazy mutha :daumenhoch: can't wait to see the pics :daumenhoch:
Also nearly forgot...who was the rad dude on the old skool freeagent i noticed he was avin it everywhere and was really impressive to watch especially flying down the 4x track and jumping everything :daumenhoch:

mike wongs face was a picture itself when he saw one of his frames 20ft in the air minus the rider ;D
-
I was glad I was standing behind a tree when Billy let go of his bike. It bounced and then hit the tree!! I hope Mike's paying him for stress-testing his frames!! Great day at Chicky. Humps
-
It was another great day at Chicksands. That pic of Billy letting his bike go when he bailed the jump is awsome. The bike must have flown nearly 20ft in the air, bounced, hit a tree and didnt have a scratch on it. Them Dialled bikes are tough :daumenhoch:
-
Yeah, Bill's certainly going beyond the call of duty testing that frame.
I didn't realise until later that Bill's bike had also hit a tree after that massive ghost ride  Hopefully the frame's still straight.
It's supposed to be a 4X race frame Bill, but like all good cro-mo frames it's good for a bit of everything :daumenhoch:
-
Here's are a few I took today:
I'll go through them all tomorrow to see if there's any other good ones:
Sorry don't know all the names:

Next time I'll ride - honest :)

Don`t worry Mike it`s holding up well, and I wouldn`t expect any different from one of your frames :daumenhoch:
-
Cheers for the pics Mark!

I should have put a copy right on those photos!?
Was a quality day mate... you really should have come along... Billy def got the crown for the day what a star! ::)
-
After being inspired by Billy, I've set myself a challenge of trying* that middle set of doubles before this year is out. If I don't, I'll think up a suitable punishment :10_2_12:
* that means having at least one attempt to try to get through them - not necessarily getting through them!
-
mike i think you'll get through the middle sets ok, you were riding good on sunday mate
-
Cheers Dave. Trails were all running sweet on Sunday. Just need to keep riding there to over winter and hopefully I'll have the confidence/balls to try the middle set in summer.
