mmmm, I reckon that is a regional at Slough in early 1989. I rode for Revcore in 1988 and 1989 but in 88 I raced in 17+ and in 88 I was superclass, hence racing on the yellow plate and riding with the 'big dogs'. :2funny:

How pointless were those JT/Haro mouthtraps :idiot2:

EBA regs mate, had to wear one.....of course you had to get a colour co-ordinated one.....

Loving the look of Peter Pan Toms Haro with the black rims :smitten: and ooooooooohhhh those Campy hubs he ran 8)
and the legend that is Winnie Wright running a spoke protector ;) damn BMX misses that guy :(
-
Them were the days eh Johnny? And exactly where do you think Winnie and Tom got thier Campys?
Yep, miss Winnie a lot......Tommy's just moved to Cambridge so don't see so much of him now......
-
Campys?.......................... I cant think! haha
Toms AME goggles are a treat, always factory that boy. Whats he doing in Cambridge?
Did he manage to fill that small church for his wedding?

Yes I was the Campy meister. Everyone used track hubs but the real trick was to used road hubs with track spindles or for a superlight set up just drift the standard hollow road axle across after you'd reduced the spacers from 130 to 110. But you needed pretty thin dropouts to have enough thread for taht set up!
I've been looking for large flange C record 'Sherriffs star' hubs as the yanks call them but they are rarer than sonlites i reckon! Hey JJ, Carl Alford still has a pair of SST race lace hubs kicking around somewhere, if he can ever be bothered to dig them out, THEY'RE MINE!!!!!!!!
-
I got some Tipo's for a Torker built but got let down on the Torker! Buying parts before you got the frame! ::)
Need some track axles if you know of any with you're vast list of contacts ;)
Seen the odd Campy sherriff star hubs and they're always mega bucks
-
I got a bag full of Campy track nuts but no axles. Me mum'll have 'em though mate, give her a tinkle.
-

Nice one J.T. If you can, I think there would be plenty of interest, price dependant obviously. :daumenhoch:
C records or Shimano Dura-Ace were v.popular with the US pro's BITD 1990ish. Makes it difficult to build a replica.
Martin :)
