Title: Sad to say goodbye to the old girl, but hello quad...
Post by: dannywhiteley on January 13, 2009, 10:26 AM
Sold this on Saturday to pay for an 83 Quad that I am currently in the process of building.  Was a shame to see it go, but needs must and all that.  What do you think?

BTW, got £400 for it, what do you reckon?  Good price?

Exactly, that was a great price but a sign of the times surely.  Not well advertised but atleast £600 worth last year.

Way I saw it, if I spilt tne beat i'd have got this for the parts:

f/f - £150
bars - £25
seatpost - £15
padset - £25
tuffs - £60
tyres - £10
crank - £15
pedals - £10
chain - £5
brakset - £30
grips - £5
chainwheel - £10
seatclamp - £10
seat - £25
headset - £5
stem - £15

So if sold seperately would come to £415, so to get £400 cash in one hit without having to split it / post it was good imo.  I met the buyer in Stafford at the weekend without going out of my way, and he paid cash.

p.s. he loved ot BTW... lol
